The memorial here was designed by Edward Parkinson, the same Sileby architect that designed the main War Memorial. This imposing church monument was unveiled in 1923 by Sir Robert Martin C.M.G., and consists of tablets built of Hopton Wood marble and Westmoreland slate.

In 1956 a second memorial was erected to the memory of those villagers that had fallen during the Second World War. It was dedicated by the Bishop of Leicester and was unveiled by Lt. Commander R Dean, R.N. This memorial was also designed by Edward Parkinson and was made of similar materials to the memorial above it.
